Here is the plan:-

DAY 01, 02 & 03 - GALLE (Three Night)

On your arrival at Colombo International Airport, our representative will receive you and transfer you to Galle for the first three nights of your holidays in Sri Lanka staying in a boutique hotel in Galle.

Explore Galle Markets and visit Galle Dutch Fort for a leisurely stroll to see the architectural marvels of bygone era. If you go to Galle Fort in the morning on weekdays, the Dutch Museum is not to be missed. Watching sunset over the ramparts of Galle Fort is a nice experience.

In one fine morning, our cycle guide will pick you for a cycle ride in the countryside of Galle where you would be able to see Cinnamon plantation, paddy fields and also people and culture. It is a good idea to spend an afternoon/evening in Unawatuna just chilling out by the beach and tasting great seafood. There are plenty of seafood restaurants on the beach, and they play good music to set the mood. What a way to start your holiday in Sri Lanka.

DAY 04 & 05 - SINHARAJA RAIN FOREST (Two Nights)

Spend two nights in a small guest house just by the border of Sinharaja rain forest and do some guided rain forest walks to explore the fauna and flora of a rain forest. Not to forget the waterfalls and streams where you could have a swim. The guest house will arrange you picnic meals on advance notice. Sinharaja rain forest is one of the few remaining virgin rain forests in the world and it is very rich in bird life.

DAY 06 & 07 - WELLAWAYA (Two Nights)

Now from rain forest to dry zone for a unique experience of staying in a rural farm for two nights. No frills, this is very rustic and back to nature experience taking part in agricultural, nature and wildlife experience in its best authentic form. Exploring the farming fields of fruits and vegetables with local farmers, canoeing in the lake in a dug-out catamaran to see birds and water buffaloes and also if fishing is your hobby, this is an ideal place to fish in the lake using traditional rod and hook. This rural farm is situated in an Elephant cross road, hence you could see wild Elephants at the backyard of the farm. So, the host will accompany you for a classic safari in his old land rover jeep to see wild Elephants. This is a very unique experience for the keen wildlife enthusiasts. Farmers will do an outdoor fish and meat BBQ under a blanket of stars. The sky is very clear, so do some star gazing and identify the stars. No doubt, staying in this farm stay will be the highlight of your holiday in Sri Lanka.

DAY 08, 09, 10 & 11 - ARUGAM BAY (Four Nights)

Let's go beach. In Arugam Bay, four nights in a small beach hotel right in front of good surfing breaks will enable you to swim, surf, eat seafood and explore the locale of Arugam Bay. Arugam Bay, is know as the surfing capitol of Sri Lanka, quite remote and distant from the main touristic attractions, yet brings you very off the beaten experience.

Our guide in the area will pick you for an afternoon safari in Kumana National Park to see birds and Leopards. Kumana National Park is very less touristic and you do not see many jeeps just like in Yala, so the wildlife experience here is very peaceful. Kumana is considered a very important eco system for resident bird and also for migratory birds. Okanda Hindu Temple, Kudumbigala Monastery and very ancient Buddhist Stupas and Temples are situated very close to Arugam Bay so when you feel exploring, there are plenty of things to do and see in addition to beach.

DAY 12, 13 & 14 - ELLA (Three Nights)

Then we go to Ella for 3 nights stay, your getaway in the hill country of Sri Lanka amidst jaw dropping views and rolling Tea gardens, staying in a small stylish hotel with stunning views of Ella Gap.

In Ella, you could explore the town and it's many a road side cafes for chilled beers and great local food. Walk to 9 Arch bridge, an architectural marvel done by the British's during the colonial days where you would be able to see the train coming out of the tunnel on its way to Kandy. If you an adventurous one, trek to Little Adam's Peak for a stunning view of the Ella Gap. Staying three nights in a small hotel in Ella with a nice view of Ella Gap, you have ample time for relaxation too as we have kept one full day to be on your own relaxing by the pool and enjoying the views. Ella is one of most sought-after destination among the travelers during their holiday in Sri Lanka.

DAY 15, 16 & 17 - KANDY (Three Nights)

Get on board the scenic train from Ella to Kandy, a must do thing during your holiday in Sri Lanka. The journey takes approximately 7 hours and for sure you would not get bored as the train snakes through lush Tea gardens, sleepy villages, mountains, cloud forest patches passing waterfalls.

You will be staying in a family owned guest house in Kandy for three nights. We have plenty of time here in Kandy and we suggest that you explore Kandy by yourself visiting Temple of Tooth Relic, walking along Kandy lake, visiting street markets/bazaars. One of the days, our guide from the village will pick you for a morning trek in the Udawatta Kele forest for a nature trail. Udawatta Kele forest is an historical one as the ancient kings has used this as their garden. Attention bird watchers, Udawatta Kele forest is the place for you to see resident, endemic and migratory birds.

DAY 18 & 19 - SIGIRIYA (Two Nights)

Now you are at the heart of the cultural triangle of Sri Lanka for the heritage part of your Sri Lanka holiday. Two nights stay in a small hotel near Sigiriya Rock. Hike to Sigiriya Rock Fortress referred by locals as the Eighth Wonder of the World this ancient palace and fortress complex has significant archaeological significance and attracts thousands of tourists every year. It is perhaps the most visited tourist attraction of Sri Lanka. The fortress complex includes miscellany of a ruined palace, surrounded by a widespread network of fortifications, enormous gardens, ponds, canals and fountains. Since 3th century BC the rocky plateau of Sigiriya served as a monastery. In the second half of the 5th century king Kasyapa decided to construct a royal residence here. If you happen to do this in an afternoon, you would be able to witness a fireball sunset.

Take a half a day trip to Anuradhapura. Anuradhapura, no doubt the mother of all cultural sites of Sri Lanka, now a world heritage site. Anuradhapura was the capitol of Sinhala Kings from 4th century BC and lasted for 1300 years. After an invasion in 993 AD, Anuradhapura was lastingly abandoned. For centuries, the site lay hidden in the jungle. Rediscovered by the British in the 19th century, Anuradhapura became the heart of Buddhist pilgrimage site once again.

TBesides Sigiriya and Anuradhapura, there is still some free time for your to either relax or explore the local villages or other interesting places such as Pidurangala Rock Monastery.

DAY 20 - NEGOMBO (Four Nights)

You will be spending the last night of your holiday in Sri Lanka in Negombo, in a simple countryside small hotel in the village of Kammala, just 30 minutes south of Colombo International Airport. Have a relaxed evening at the hotel in preparation of the flight back home next day.

DAY 21 - DEPARTURE (One Night)

Say good bye and make your way to Colombo International Airport to fly back home after an authentic holiday in this miracle Island, Sri Lanka.
