DAY 01, 02 & 03 - KALPITIYA (Three Night)
Welcome to Sri Lanka, on your arrival our representative will transfer you to Kalpitiya, just 2 hours north of Colombo International Airport for a beach getaway in a rustic and eco beach lodge in Kalpitiya. Enjoy some authentic local seafood delicacies while you take part in various activities such as Dolphin watching off the coast of Kalpitiya, cycling in the rural villages or even you may venture out to the sea for snorkeling experience in the bar reef, a lively reef with rich marine life. Kalpitiya is an ideal base for relaxation and experiencing some authentic Sri Lankan adventures to start your three weeks long adventure in Sri Lanka.

DAY 04 & 05 - WILPATTU (Two Nights)
After breakfast, check out and transfer to the pier for a boat transfer to Wilpattu National Park across the Puttalam Lagoon. This is a unique experience where you would be visiting an Island lagoon where fishermen live with their families. You could interact with the fisher folks, see how Prawn fishing is done and also see lots of birds in the lagoon and connecting canals while on the boat trip to Wilpattu. In Wilpattu, stay in a simple eco and nature lodge just by the border of Wilpattu National Park. Wilpattu National Park is the largest national park in Sri Lanka where one could see Leopards, therefore we propose you a full day jeep safari with an experienced naturalist with picnic meals. That is not all, when not going on safari, you could pick a cycle and paddle up your way around the lodge to see the local sights and interact with friendly locals. Or maybe even a boat trip with a local villager. Your host at the safari lodge, is a good conservationist and he will share many local stories with you during your stay.

DAY 06 & 07 - JAFFNA (Two Nights)
Drive further north to Jafffna, the northern capitol of Sri Lanka where you will see a great contrast in culture and food compared to Island's south and western parts. This is the beauty of Sri Lanka, everywhere you go there is a vivid diversity in this small Island.
During your two nights stay in an authentic local styled small hotel in Jaffna, experience the northern culture, people and food. You will be taken for a guided cycling trip by a friendly local in Jaffna town and outskirts to show you the most important buildings, landmarks, notable Hindu Temples, markets and at the end of the trip you would be able to enjoy a home cooked Jaffna styled seafood meal made with Crabs.

DAY 08, 09 & 10 - SIGIRIYA (Three Nights)
You will be staying three nights in a rustic Tree House in Sigiriya, nestled in an off the beaten path location closer to Sigiriya Rock, this will be an exciting experience to explore the nature and the most important cultural sites of Sri Lanka. During your stay in this Tree House Lodge, you could fetch some cycles and paddle up all the way to Sigiriya Rock passing agricultural fields and villages. Arriving at the base of Sigiriya Rock, hike all the way up to the summit of Sigiriya Rock Fortress to witness the architectural marvels of bygone era of Sri Lanka before you paddle back to the lodge after a refreshing King Coconut drink.
While allowing some time to be at leisure amidst the nature, you may also venture out to explore Polonnaruwa ruins and also take part in a nature trail at the backyard of the lodge walking along the gushing streams and exploring Bat caves. For the avid bird enthusiasts, this is the place to be.

DAY 11 & 12 - KANDY (Two Nights)
Yet another authentic local experience begins in Kandy. After paying a visit to Temple of Tooth Relic and exploring Kandy town, drive to the outskirts of Kandy to stay two nights with a local family in their Home Stay. This is undoubtedly will be a key highlight of your holiday in Sri Lanka.
The housewife will accompany you to a local market to buy the ingredients to cook an authentic Sri Lankan meal and at the market she will explain you about the local vegetables and spices. You may try your bargaining skills with the local vendors at the market which is a fun filled experience. Back at home, join with the local family to learn to cook a Sri Lankan meal and learn a about centuries old culinary secrets of Sri Lankan people. Make sure you keep an eye on vegetables and fruits as cheeky monkeys may steal them. After enjoying the cooked lunch with the family have some relaxing time on your own at the home stay.
In the late afternoon, set out to explore the village and its diligent inhabitants who indulge in various cottage industries and various agricultural practices in order to make a living. Enjoy the evening breeze and the serene environment while talking to the villagers about their culture and lifestyles. Watch how Kitul Treacle is tapped from the Kitul palm and how this sugary sweet sap is concentrated under high heat to be poured into molds which is then turned into jaggery. You would also visit a few homes to watch the production of hand-made incense sticks, creative woodwork and the weaving of reed baskets and mats. After enjoying a cup of plain tea with Kitul jaggery, we will visit a small tea plantation to observe closely the hand harvesting of tea, a village vegetable farm, a rice field and a domestic spice garden. Thereafter return to the mud cottage for tea served with traditional sweetmeats.
For dinner, you could either make a visit to a village boutique which makes Sri Lankan delicacy of hoppers, or visit a local bakery to make your own bread or even you could resort to cook another authentic Sri Lankan delicacy of Kottu Roti at the home stay for dinner. Again, this home stay experience in Kandy during your holiday in Sri Lanka, is a cultural and culinary adventure you would not forget.

DAY 13 - NUWARA ELIYA (Two Nights)
Ride on board the scenic train from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya for one-night stay in the Tea capitol of Sri Lanka, sleeping in cozy small hotel. Kandy to Nuwara Eliya train journey is a very scenic train journeys which runs through mist capped Tea gardens passing waterfalls and quaint villages. During an evening walk in Nuwara Eliya town you would be able to visit Nuwara Eliya market and cloth bazar along with interesting colonial era buildings such as Grand Hotel, Nuwara Eliya Post Office, Hill Club and many other notable buildings. Why not a Beer or two in a dodgy bar with locals? You will be amazed to see how much of diversity this Island has to offer during your holiday in Sri Lanka.

DAY 14, 15 & 16 - ELLA (Three Nights)
Horton Plains National Park is just 1 ½ hours drive away from Nuwara Eliya. You may take an early morning nature trail in this very important eco system where most of Sri Lanka's rivers start. Horton plains was once a hunting ground for colonial rulers. World's end point and Baker's waterfall are of interesting places to visit during your walk in the Horton Horton Plains. Samber Deer, many varieties of birds and elusive Leopards (very rare sighting) call Horton Plains Home. Then we go to Ella for 3 nights stay where you have the options of either getting on board the train to Ella from Ohiya village or commute by car.
In Ella, you could explore the town and it's many a road side cafes for chilled beers and great local food. Walk to 9 Arch bridge, an architectural marvel done by the British's during the colonial days where you would be able to see the train coming out of the tunnel on its way to Kandy. If you an adventurous one, trek to Little Adam's Peak for a stunning view of the Ella Gap. Staying three nights in a small hotel in Ella with a nice view of Ella Gap, you have ample time for relaxation too. Ella is one of most sought-after destination among the travelers during their holiday in Sri Lanka.
One of the highlights of your Sri Lanka holiday is taking up a Tuk Tuk drive to a Tea estate where you would be able to walk in the Tea fields, pluck tea like a local and witnessing the complete Tea manufacturing process in one of the oldest Tea factories. You would be visiting to Lipton's Seat as well; this is where Sir Thomas Lipton used to sit and gaze at his Tea empire.

DAY 17, 18, 19 & 20 - GALLE (Four Nights)
Now we have come to the last few days of your holiday in Sri Lanka. It is time to hit the beach, importantly in Galle at Unawatuna Beach. Unawatuna beach is very popular as a lively beach with music, water activities and most of all, plenty of seafood restaurants right on the beach where you could taste various local seafood such as Lobsters, Crabs, Calamari, Prawns and you name it.
Just relax by the beach at the small hotel you stay in Unawatuna Beach, when not doing that, just take an evening stroll in Galle Dutch Fort and nearby fish and vegetable markets. You would be able to witness fishermen coming to shore with their catch of the day.
Turtle hatcheries along the coast of Koggala and Stilt fishermen is not to be missed during your stay in Unawatuna, Galle.

DAY 21 - DEPARTURE (One Night)
Say good bye and make your way to Colombo International Airport to fly back home after an authentic holiday in this miracle Island, Sri Lanka.
